In the interior, the high-quality soft touch dashboard and the artificial leather inserts on the dashboard and doors create a feel-good atmosphere. Sports comfort seats in T-Cross Style and R-Line offer additional comfort and support while driving. It also features plenty of modern technology: the digital instrument cluster “Digital Cockpit” with a high-resolution 20.3 cm (8-inch) colour display is installed as standard on R-Line and Style and optional on Life, and extras such as the Discover media navigation system are available upon request. The T-Cross include inductive charging for your smartphone as series standard.
The optional “Style” design package combines understated colours and sporty style:
The standard sports comfort seats in the T-Cross R-Line and Style provide better support on tight curves, which in this case are also made from recycled materials. For example, the upper material of the centre seat panels, seat inner bolsters and the entire trim material as well as the headrests are made from 100% recycled polyester and recycled PET bottles. Expressive embossing and inserts made of imitation leather ensure the sporty look.
The T-Cross R-Line has a particularly sporty appearance: both the door sill with R-Line lettering and the pedal covers are made from brushed stainless steel. Not only does this look good, it is also particularly robust and long-lasting.
You can give your T-Cross a very personal touch with the illuminating lighting strip. Ambient lighting is standard with Style and R-Line creates a comfy atmosphere by gently illuminating the front door openers, the decorative strips on the doors and the dashboard. The digital displays also light up in white.
How people perceive temperature can vary: while one person is still cold, the other may already be too warm. The Air Care Climatronic 2-zone air conditioning system, which is standard in Style and R-Line, has the solution. This allows you to regulate the temperatures on the driver and passenger sides independently of each other. And the Air Care Climatronic can do even more than that: the slower your speed, the quieter the blower. If you activate the windscreen cleaner or engage reverse gear, the system automatically switches to recirculation mode. This keeps the air in the car fresh and the temperatures pleasant.
With our optional navigation system, you can stay on track and arrive at your destination feeling entertained. Composition media The composition radio comes with 21cm (8 inch) display and provides non-stop entertainment in your vehicle. It also features two USB-C ports and a mobile phone interface.
With the intuitive voice control, you can use your voice to conveniently operate the radio, phone, your music and the optional navigation. For example, you can select the radio station or choose the address book entry or telephone number you’re looking for with your voice.
The carefully tuned loudspeakers available upon request in Style and R-Line ensure the resonant sound, while the additional subwoofer provides you with extra deep bass you can really feel in the pit of your stomach. And you control the entire system and set the tone using your infotainment system. The volume of the luggage compartment is not affected by the sound system.
For convenient use of apps and content, the App-Connect is ideal. Music, news, maps or audio books are transmitted to the display of the infotainment system and can therefore be used within your field of vision. Two interfaces are possible for connecting smartphones: Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto. The optional Discover Media navigation system features wireless connectivity, making it especially convenient to use.
Make calls conveniently while driving via the loudspeakers and microphones of the hands-free system and charge your mobile phone wirelessly via the inductive charging function at the front of the cockpit. Drive safely and make phone calls at the same time? The Comfort mobile phone interface, also gives you everything you need for this: the hands-free system has microphones in the roof console, while the internal speakers ensure high sound quality of the voice output. The front storage compartment also has an inductive charging function for wirelessly charging your mobile phone with Qi standard. The connection to the external aerial is also ensured wirelessly to optimise the reception quality.
Rear passengers enjoy two additional USB-C ports in the rear of the centre console, optionally available in addition to the USB-C ports in the front included with every equipment line (charging capacity of up to 45 W). For example, you can easily charge your smart watch, Bluetooth headphones or smartphone while driving. After all, batteries always seem to run out faster than you’d like.
Even at first glance, the new T-Cross has a real highlight: the innovative IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights, which are optionally available in the Life and come standard in the Style and R-Line. The matrix technology allows you to drive with the main beam permanently switched on without dazzling other road users. An elegant light strip extends between the headlights and the Volkswagen logo and lends the compact SUV a unique light signature. The package includes the optional LED tail light clusters with animated brake light and integrated dynamic turn signal, which indicates the intended direction with a dynamic flowing light movement.
The hassle of flashing around with your smartphone is a thing of the past: in the new T-Cross, you can easily see where you are setting your foot when getting in and out of the car in the dark. When you open the door, a light projection appears on the floor next to the vehicle, illuminating the entry area.
Do you ever transport something larger? That’s no problem for the new T-Cross. With the optional towing bracket, you can tow unbraked loads of up to 650 kg and braked loads of up to 1,200 kg. The drawbar load of the towing bracket is now even up to 75 kg. If you don’t need the device at the moment, it can be removed quickly and easily and stored in the boot.
The optional Travel Assist function from Life onwards, provides you with extremely useful driving assistance on board. It can keep you in your lane, and maintain a minimum distance to the vehicle in front and the maximum speed you have set. Among other things, it uses adaptive lane guidance to do this. This actively keeps the vehicle in the middle of the lane. Travel Assist adapts to your driving style and can also drive further to the left or right in its own lane instead of exactly in the middle. In combination with a navigation system, Travel Assist is extended by predictive cruise control and cornering assistance. This means that Travel Assist can adapt the vehicle’s speed to the relevant speed limits and the road layout (bends, roundabouts) etc.
Your Volkswagen with optional Park Assist from Life onwards can not only tell you whether a parking space is big enough as you drive by it also parks for you. Up to a speed of 40 km/h, Park Assist permanently searches for suitable parallel parking spaces. Up to a speed of 20 km/h it also searches for parking bays. Once you have decided on one of the parking spaces found, you start the parking process, with Park Assist taking over the steering. You just need to operate the accelerator and brake and monitor the process. Park Assist can also drive the vehicle out of parallel parking spaces again.
1 Adaptive Cruise Control ACC, optional from Life onwards, helps you to maintain a previously set maximum speed and preset minimum distance to the vehicle in front. In combination with a navigation system, ACC is extended by predictive cruise control and cornering assistance. This means that ACC can adapt the vehicle’s speed to the relevant speed limits and the road layout (bends roundabouts etc.).,
Monotonous drives can occasionally lead to risky situations. That's where Lane Assist proves its value: at speeds of 60 km/h and above, it detects when the vehicle drifts out of its lane. By providing corrective steering, it helps refocus the driver’s attention on the road.
The Rear View camera system, optional from Life onwards, enables you to keep an eye on your surroundings when reversing: the area behind the vehicle covered by the camera is shown on the display of your infotainment system. In addition, Rear View inserts guide lines that make it easier for you to judge the distance correctly.
The Park Distance Control can alert you to obstacles detected in front of or behind your Volkswagen not only acoustically but also visually via a display in the infotainment system. The manoeuvre braking integrated in the Park Distance Control can reduce the severity of a collision, or avoid a collision altogether, when reversing at speeds of up to 10 km/h. The manoeuvre braking can also be activated at the touch of a button when driving forwards.
The advanced main-beam control Dynamic Light Assist (optional in Life and Comes standard in Style and R-Line) improves visibility at night. The system can detect oncoming vehicles and vehicles ahead and automatically mask the corresponding areas of your main beam headlights. In built-up areas, the vehicle also switches automatically from the main beam to the dipped beam. This means that you can drive for longer and more often with the main beam on. Streets are thus better illuminated and obstacles can be detected earlier.
